Anything that is not clear or specific Something that is confusing and doesn’t gives any clear information. When a group of professionals was asked to write down their goals They wrote things like they want to have a better designation or I want to have a big house.

Now the terms better designation or a big house are unclear. We do not understand what exact designation that person expects or what type of house does he or she want. Their answers were unclear.

 

Example number 1 of 8: David was told to be more clear and specific with his words instead of being ambiguous. This feedback helped him in enhancing his communication skills.

 

Example number 2 of 8: Harry Potter novels seem ambiguous if not read from the first novel. Now, if we don’t read the story from the beginning then it will be difficult to understand it. Hence it will appear ambiguous.

 

Example number 3 of 8: His questions were not clear at all and hence I was unable to answer his ambiguous questions.

 

Example number 4 of 8: Some movies have an ambiguous end. For example in the movie ‘The Inception’; the end of the movie was not clear to many.

 

Example number 5 of 8: We lost our way because of his ineffective communication skills. The instructions that he gave were ambiguous.

 

Example number 6 of 8: Justin failed in his aptitude exam because he felt that the questions were not clear and specific. He told his parents that the questions were ambiguous.

 

Example number 7 of 8: During the quarterly meeting, the Marketing manager had set an ambiguous target. This confused the entire team.

 

Example number 8 of 8:  Santosh bought a smart T.V. yesterday. But he could not set it up because he presumed that the user manual had ambiguous instructions.
