Today’s word is: futuristic. Futuristic means: relating to the future, ahead of the times, modern or advanced

The word futuristic expresses something related to the future, modern or advanced.

For example: Till a few years ago, the use of robots in surgeries was considered too futuristic. But, now as we know, advanced technology has made it possible to conduct surgeries with the help of robots.

Example number 1 of 8: The President of the country always had a dream of hosting the Olympic games. Therefore, in anticipation, he asked his public works department to construct a futuristic stadium to give a thrust to their chances of hosting the games.


Example number 2 of 8:  The award winning author has released her latest novel. It is a futuristic crime thriller set sometime in the late Twenty first century.


Example number 3 of 8:  The railways have been using the same design for the trains since many decades. However, the modernisation plan approved by the chairman necessitates a futuristic design for the coaches.


Example number 4 of 8: The scientist made a presentation about the futuristic space tourism. In his presentation, he clearly explained the challenges expected in this form as compared to conventional tourism.


Example number 5 of 8: The company’s warehouse stored more than one lakh machinery parts. It was a tedious task to manage the same. To overcome this problem, the logistics department appointed a consultant to design a futuristic model of the warehouse that would help to locate any specific part effortlessly.


Example number 6 of 8:  Dilip used to assist his father in his automobile garage. He was always very keen on designing cars with innovative features. When encouraged by his friends, Dilip participated in a competition for futuristic cars. The jury liked his design and he won a prize.


Example number 7 of 8:  The media and entertainment company prepared a blueprint to commission multiplexes across the country. They envisioned a futuristic facility with 4D viewing experience.


Example number 8 of 8: The commissioner of the city noticed that the development in the city was happening in an unplanned way. So he collaborated with eminent city planners to come up with a futuristic blueprint for the city.
