Today’s word is: jubilant. jubilant means: feeling or expressing great happiness especially because of some success or because something good has happened.

Example number 3 of 8:  Sayali passed her final year medical examination and became a doctor. Her family and relatives were jubilant since she was the first person from their village to be a doctor.

Example number 4 of 8:  The fishermen and their wives organised a food festival for the public. In this festival, they presented their authentic food items and the response was phenomenal. The organisers were jubilant because the event turned out to be very lucrative.

Example number 5 of 8:  When the clock struck 12 at midnight of 14^th August, 1947, entire India was jubilant. It had got independence after 150 years of foreign rule and everyone was ecstatic.

Example number 6 of 8: The church had been shut for renovation since a year. When it opened, the devotees were jubilant that they could visit the place of their faith.

Example number 7 of 8:  Have you seen the penalty shootout in a football match?  Last week, a football team won the match in a penalty shootout. It was a spectacular match and the jubilant fans lifted the players on their shoulders during the celebrations.

Example number 8 of 8: A popular leader was hospitalised after a road accident. The doctors performed a complex surgery which lasted several hours. When the hospital announced that the leader was out of danger, his jubilant followers distributed sweets.
