12 Feb What are the advantages of speaking in a low voice and disadvantages of speaking in a loud voice?
Volume is the perceived loudness by the audience while speaking you should keep in mind the distance covered by your voice and the distance of the speaker. Mostly these days Lavalier mics are attached to the presenter so unnecessary wastage of energy for speaking loudly may not be worth it.
A big disadvantage of speaking in a loud voice is that it is basically stress on the vocal cord which in turn distracts your delivery, due to this you collapse and lose your energy at the beginning of the presentation itself.
The advantages of speaking in low volume:
It helps you to deliver your presentation at a neutral pace
It gives you comfort while speaking, hence it is less tiring.
This remains an apt rate of delivery to your audience. This makes them more comfortable and attentive towards your presentation.
