Today’s word is: ardent – ardent means a deep level of enthusiasm or passion, being passionate or to like something to a great extent

Mr. Das is the owner of a soft skill training institute. He is an ardent user of technology. Can you think of the ways in which he might have applied his passion to his work? Well, he began an online channel and would release 1 tutorial or training session every week. He also began online training for people who couldn’t travel to his institute and created some podcasts for his listeners.

Did you notice what happened? As he was deeply passionate, he was able to grow his business and widen his clientele (this means he got more clients). Can you think of anything that you are ardent about? How can you use this to grow in your career or business?


Example number 1 of 8: Robert likes cricket very much. He watches all the live telecasts of cricket. If he misses any match, he watches the highlights on a mobile app. What does this mean? It means that Robert is an ardent cricket fan.


Example number 2 of 8: Gabe is an intelligent student. His teachers are fond of him. Although he scores good marks in his studies, he loves art and craft ardently.


Example number 3 of 8: Aryaana loves to hear Indian classical music. In her laptop and cell phone, her playlists include hundreds of Indian classical tracks. You can say that Aryaana is an ardent fan of Indian classical music.


Example number 4 of 8: Shanina was an ardent believer in ethical business practices. She was straightforward and honest in her approach. This helped her in winning the trust of her colleagues. This helped her in carving a niche for herself at her workplace. It means that it helped her in creating a sound reputation or position for herself.


Example number 5 of 8: Santosh got bored while watching horror movies with his friend because he was an ardent fan of historical movies.


Example number 6 of 8: The city auditorium got a makeover. Do you know why? Most of the city folks are ardent fans of theatre and auditorium management thought the audience wanted to enjoy theatre with state of the art facilities.


Example number 7 of 8: Vineet’s success was the talk of the town as he entered politics at an early age of 25. This was possible as his thought process was inclined towards the welfare of the people and he ardently followed political news and updates from a very young age. His mind was conditioned to think like a politician.


Example number 8 of 8: Some communities are ardent followers of tradition. They follow all the traditions that were practiced since ancient times.
