Dr. Ambedkar is the architect of our constitution. He was born in a society where a cast based hierarchy was present. This means at that time, the social status of a person depended on the cast in which he was born.

Example number 1 of 8: Noori was a new employee and she was given training by her company for the first month. As a part of her training, the hierarchy (means the order of authority) of the organization was clearly explained to her.

Example number 4 of 8: Mr. Douglas took over as MD of the advertising firm. He found that a rigid hierarchy in the company was creating communication gaps. So, he introduced several activities where all the staff members can interact with each other.

 

Example number 5 of 8: The charitable organization planned to celebrate its foundation day. The agenda included speeches by several team members. It was decided that the order of speaking will be based on the hierarchy.

 

Example number 6 of 8: You would be surprised to know that a strict hierarchy exists in a family of elephants. It starts from the most senior female elephant and goes down to a newborn.

 

Example number 7 of 8: Prakash joined a newly opened branch of a commercial bank. When he noticed some shortcomings in the processes, he submitted the details directly to the head office. The head office asked him to follow the hierarchy and make submissions to the branch manager.

 

Example number 8 of 8: The elections were round the corner and several party workers were interested in contesting the elections. However, the number of seats was limited and the party decided to select the candidates according to the hierarchy of the party.
