Today’s word is: lucid. The meaning of lucid is: expressed clearly, easy to understand, capable of thinking and expressing clearly

The word lucid means something which is simple and can be understood without much effort.

For example:  The advocate explained the contents of the notice to the client in lucid language.

Example number 1 of 8:  Sheena’s presentation to the investors was lucid and to the point.

She presented a comprehensive business plan showing anticipated growth and profitability.

 

Example number 2 of 8: The autobiography of the music composer was written in a direct and lucid manner. The readers could identify with the situations and emotions and the book became a best seller.

 

Example number 3 of 8:  The patient is presently lucid and talkative. But, the doctors are worried that his condition will worsen over a period of time because of deteriorating brain function.

 

Example number 4 of 8:  The editor suggested to the journalist that she should adhere to a lucid style of writing. He explained to her the techniques of avoiding too much jargon and connecting to the readers.

 

Example number 5 of 8:  The latest guidelines issued by the tax authorities were complex and somewhat ambiguous. The citizens appealed to the authorities to re-issue the guidelines in lucid format.

 

Example number 6 of 8:  The students in an engineering college had several doubts about a topic. Hence they requested a senior professor to explain the topic. The professor agreed and used audio visual methods to explain the same content again in a lucid language.

 

Example number 7 of 8:  The tourists had difficulties to reach the lake due to hindrances along the way. There was a risk of accidents and injuries to the visitors. Hence, the local village committee proactively designed a plan for lucid arrangements for the benefit of the tourists.

 

Example number 8 of 8: The latest App for college students is very popular amongst the youth. It uses animation and explains the concepts in lucid manner.
