Today’s word is: revival. Do you know what it means? It means: an improvement in condition of something or someone, an instance of something becoming popular or important again, restoration to life, renewal of some activity which was stopped.

Example number 1 of 8:  The foreign investors are taking interest in investing in the infrastructure sector of the country. This has increased the hopes of revival of the economy.

Example number 3 of 8:  A movie based on competition between two distinguished classical singers was released. It was widely appreciated by the audience and it also revived the trend of learning classical singing among youngsters.

Example number 5 of 8: The dispute between two neighbour states had jeopardised the progress of the water canal work. The central ministry officials discussed the matter with both parties and ensured revival of the project.

Example number 6 of 8:  Mr. Ranade was concerned that his family was not following the customs and traditions associated with their family deity (means god). He therefore organised a religious ceremony at his home with a view of reviving the family traditions.

Example number 7 of 8:  Couple of incidents regarding some tourists suffering food poisoning drastically reduced the flow of the tourists into the city. The city administration inspected the food outlets and issued safety certificates to revive the tourism.

Example number 8 of 8: When the country was under the rule of outsiders, the use of many local languages was banned. The citizens of the country were unhappy about this. Later, when the country gained independence, special efforts were made for the revival of local languages.
