Can children teach themselves without any knowledge or guidance?

• To know the answer, Sugata Mitra conducted, “The hole in the wall project” in 1999.
• Sugata & his colleagues sunk a computer into the wall near their office in Kalkaji, Delhi. 💻
• The computer had internet access, but no training on how to use it. & it was visible to everyone on the street.
• Since the computer was fitted in a slum area, children came running & fixed themselves to the screen.🧒

It struck their fancy & they started clicking everywhere.

• You’ll be surprised to know that in a few hours, the children were able to surf the web.🖲
• And within six months, they all became a pro at using the computer to download games, videos, & whatnot. ✔
• Sugata & his team were eager to know how the children were able to do it.
• When asked, the children answered, “We taught this to ourselves”😊

After seeing the positive outcomes, the experiment was charge in two more places in India, & the result was the same. So what can be learned from this?

• Children can teach themselves if you give them the resources.✔
• This learning has been the idea behind the English 99 app.
• I wanted to develop an economic resource for learning English for the masses & am happy could do that with the help of my team. 💲
